Singapore is 8th most fashionable city on earth

It's official. Singapore is one of the world's most fashionable cities - so says a survey by the Global Language Monitor (GLM). In it's annual list of the top 50 global fashion capitals released last month, the Texas-based research firm ranked Singapore eighth, one spot above Trendy Tokyo.
INDEX: Award 2011 winners unveiled

The winners of the world’s largest design award, the Danish INDEX: Award worth €500,000, were unveiled on 1 September 2011. The Danish, non-profit design organization INDEX: Design to Improve Life received almost 1,000 nominations for the competition from 78 countries and among these, 60 finalist were selected of which there were five winners. INDEX: is a partner of the DesignSingapore Council and Singapore is part of the INDEX: Partner City network.
Monocle ranks Singapore as 15th most liveable city in the world

SINGAPORE: The rising population poses challenges for Asia's "Garden City" but Singapore's politics and tolerance are "slowly improving".
On the back of this assessment, Singapore climbed up sixth places to rank as the 15th most liveable city in the world, according to London-based magazine Monocle. Singapore was ranked 18 in 2009.

SUTD wins 2011 SCUP Honor Award!
