OuterEdit (link) has created a new platform for collaborative graphic design. Launched on 17 July 2012, OuterEdit’s brand new portal brings the spotlight on the design process and the graphic designer.
Five graphic designers will collaborate each month in a themed challenge online. This real-time, five-way collaborative format is called the ‘O/E Collab’. The most-voted-for artwork will be produced on premium OuterEdit apparel and made available for purchase from the online store.
OuterEdit has secured participation from A-list creatives from around the globe for the O/E Collab till July next year. These design talents hail from major design cities like Barcelona, Tokyo, London and Singapore.
In recognition of OuterEdit’s aim to elevate design quality as well as foster a global collaborative relationship for design creation, the DesignSingapore Council has awarded OuterEdit the Design for Business Innovation Grant (DBIG).
“We are overjoyed with the support from the DesignSingapore Council. Whilst the monetary incentive helps us with our start-up efforts, the knowledge, network and soft skills shared with us as a result of DBIG has been just as valuable! We look forward to growing this professional relationship further and hope to continue to make an impact on graphic art, design and apparel,” said Ryan Tan, co-founder of OuterEdit.
OuterEdit’s new website is designed by Plate Interactive (link), a boutique interactive agency founded by Sean Lam, one of Asia’s top creative directors and former co-founder of Kinetic Interactive.
