The Office, Disrupted
Date/Time: 9 Apr - 13 May 2021, 9am - 9pm daily

How can we achieve the ideal work life? The Office, Disrupted is an exhibition designed to provoke discussion about the shifting definition of the workplace. This experiential journey will take visitors through the evolution of the office to a future of hybrid work. Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience hybrid working for themselves at the HybridWork Lab. Supplementing the exhibition will be four panel discussions where industry and thought leaders will come together to share their views on adapting in times of change.

Garden Dreaming

Vegetation has always been strategic in urbanised Singapore. As we evolve toward NParks’ new vision of a ‘City in Nature’, we find ourselves on the cusp of incredible potential. What do we love about Singapore and what would make us love our country more? What brings us together? What makes us tick? How do you gather data on the loveability of a city or country? And how do you interpret it for design-related outcomes? Join this interactive webinar for special insights into the research process and findings of the Loveable Singapore Project – an initiative led by the DesignSingapore Council. Over a four-month period, our researchers engaged more than 2,300 participants, resulting in 9,000 minutes of engagement and insights. This Humid House: Appropriating Nature For Pleasure

Have you ever considered the design potential of the flora all around us in Singapore? This Humid House partners with the National Design Centre for a live-streamed talk and design demonstration within the Garden Dreaming exhibition gallery. While crafting a large-scale floral installation for the exhibition, John Lim (founder of This Humid House) will talk about the studio’s design approach, sustainable sourcing methods, and relationship with the floral ecosystem in Singapore and the region.
