Six recipients were awarded the DesignSingapore Scholarship 2015 at a ceremony on 4 Aug at the National Design Centre. The scholarship represents DesignSingapore Council’s commitment to groom design talents who possess the creativity, drive and passion to develop Singapore into Asia’s leading hub for design excellence.
Family and friends supported the scholars at the happy occasion, which also featured a display of their scholastic portfolios (see below). Buffet dinner was served.
Here, the recipients of DesignSingapore Scholarship 2015:
Ms Sheryl Yap Sze Ling, 20, will pursue a Bachelor in Entertainment Design at Art Center College of Design, California, USA.
Ms Azelia Ng Wei Zhen, 19, will pursue a BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design at London College of Communication, London, United Kingdom.
Ms Rachel Ng Shiqian, 26, will pursue a dual degree - Professional Masters in Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA and the University of Madeira, Funchal, Portugal.
Mr Yeo Ker Siang, 27, will pursue a Master of Arts in Information Experience Design at Royal College of Art, London, United Kingdom.
Ms Victoria Koo Wei Ai, 27, will pursue a Master of Arts in Service Design at Royal College of Art, London, United Kingdom.
Mr Chua Jia Xiang, 28, will pursue a Master of Arts in Service Design at Royal College of Art, London, United Kingdom.
