President’s Design Award 2018 Jury Session
The Jury Session of President’s Design Award 2018 (PDA) saw a successful ending on the 23rd of November. It was a three-day programme of impressive presentations by shortlisted nominees, followed by intense deliberation by the multi-disciplinary Jury Panels.
The Jury Session kicked off on 21 November with Jury briefings for the Architecture panel at the URA Centre and Design panel at the National Design Centre. The panels were composed of 17 local and international leaders in design, business, architecture and other disciplines. Click here to find out more about the PDA 2018 Jury Panel.
The revamp of PDA in July 2017 has opened doors to a diverse and multi-disciplinary range of entries and entrants. The session saw a shortlist of six eligible designers and two architects for the ‘Designer of the Year’ and 23 eligible design and 14 architectural entries for the ‘Design of the Year’ categories. The results for both categories will be announced in May 2018.
The President’s Design Award is jointly administered by the DesignSingapore Council and Urban Redevelopment Authority.
